Bryce Mitchell speaks out after loss to Jean Silva at UFC 314: 'It put me to sleep'

Bryce mitchell it didn't take long to appear. The American, who was finished by Jean Silva with a triangle choke in the second round, used his official Instagram account to speak out about his defeat in the UFC 314. The fighter stated that he did not suffer any serious injuries and recognized the need for technical adjustments to continue his career.

“I thank everyone for their support. I’m fine, thank God. I didn’t lose any teeth, I didn’t break any bones. I fought as hard as I could, but I could have been smarter,” Bryce said.

Despite the confidence before the fight, Bryce mitchell could not resist the pressure of Jean Silva. After being knocked down in the second round, the Brazilian locked in the position and achieved his first submission victory in the organization, in addition to leaving him unconscious.

“He put me to sleep. I had nothing left to give. I’m happy to know that I gave my best, but I need to improve,” added the American, who has accumulated two consecutive defeats in the organization.

Bryce mitchell should suffer a drop in the UFC featherweight rankings (up to 65,7 kg). Before the fight, he was ranked 13th in the category. In his career, the American has a record of 17 wins and three losses.
