Dominick reyes had a gala performance when opening the main card of UFC 314 last Saturday (12), in Miami (USA). During the post-mortem press conference,UFC 314, the light heavyweight fighter (up to 93kg) guaranteed that he is the owner of the best left-handed punch in the organization, but without forgetting to mention the former champion of the category, Alex Poatán.
“I’ll say right off the bat that I have the best left hand in the game. There’s no doubt about it. Alex has one left hook. I have one left hook. He’s an orthodox fighter. I’m a southpaw. So, what’s up?” Reyes said with a swagger.

Despite mentioning Poatan, Reyes assures that he only feels affection for the Brazilian. The two trained together in 2022, when Alex was preparing to face his rival Israel adesanya for the middleweight division (up to 83,9 kg).
“I definitely need to see them again. They were so kind to me when I was at my lowest. I will have nothing but love and respect for those guys for the rest of my life. So I would like to see him again, get some work. But we will see,” the American added.
After four consecutive losses, Reyes turned his career around by winning three straight. The left-hander, who got married 10 months ago, highlighted the work he has been doing and described the last year as the best of his life.
“Pure flattery. It’s confirmation that everything I’m doing is right. (I’m feeling) gratitude that the Lord anointed me tonight. I’m just grateful,” he concluded.
In the UFC since 2017, Dominick reyes has a record of 15 wins and four losses.
