Ian Machado Garry e Carlos Prates fought an epic battle full of emotions on Saturday night (26) in the main fight of the UFC Kansas City, in Missouri (USA). The audience present at the T-Mobile Center watched the Irishman dominate the first three rounds, but then the Brazilian member of Fighting Nerds 'got the upper hand' and almost knocked out his opponent in the last round. However, 'The Future' was smart, held on until the end and won the victory in the unanimous decision of the judges.

Before the two welterweight fighters (up to 77kg) met in the octagon they abused the 'trash talk', even raising the question of 'who would be more Brazilian'. But during the fight, they both constantly greeted each other, laughed and showed respect for each other.

And that's what happened after the fight too. In an example of a demonstration of 'fair play',Ian Machado Garry published a video on his official profile on 'X' where he shows an interaction with Carlos Prates behind the scenes to convey a message to 'Pesadelo'. Married to an English woman of Brazilian descent, 'The Future' made a point of speaking to the member of Fighting Nerds in Portuguese.

“You are sinister. You have a very strong heart. 100%. Man, f***ing strong hands. I want to tell you: if you want help to get to the top, I will go to Brazil (if) you need my help. Let's go. You are Brazilian and I want all Brazilians to get to the top,” said Garry.

Yes, Ian Gary has 16 wins and only one loss in his career. The Irishman will barely have time to savor his recent victory, as he has to go to Montreal, Canada, to attend the UFC 315, on May 10, where he will be a reserve for the main fight between the welterweight champion, Belal Muhammad |, and his belt challenger, Jack Della Maddalena.
