McGregor shares grappling training with violent elbow strikes

Irishman generates anxiety among fans, but avoids provoking fighters or mentioning predictions of a possible return to the octagon

Inactive since 2021, Conor McGregor has once again caused anxiety among his fans by posting a video in which he appears training in grappling, with the right to simulate violent elbow strikes on his training partner (watch below). Despite the post, the Irishman avoided suggesting dates or provoking any opponent currently present in the UFC.

In response, netizens reacted positively and expressed love and longing for the former two-time champion. After announcing that he plans to run for president of Ireland, the athlete's future became unknown as to how he will divide his time between focusing on politics and an eventual return to the UFC.

His last statement about fighting was made after Michael chandler be defeated in the UFC 314. Conor quickly used his social media to provoke the American, rekindling a rivalry that has gradually been forgotten and ignored by many MMA fans. At the time, 'Iron' responded positively and even indicated that he was interested in measuring his strength against McGregor.

Having recovered from an injury suffered in his last appearance, Conor was expecting to fight again after the end of filming for The Ultimate Fighter. The fight was scheduled for UFC 303, but had to be canceled after the Irishman fractured his toe and was forced to give up the long-awaited meeting with Chandler. Since then there have been no signs of the fighter returning to the octagon.
