Busy with extracurricular commitments, Alex Poatán He continues to stay active in MMA training. While waiting for the call-up to fight for the light heavyweight title (up to 93kg), the Brazilian recorded a video in which he trains with King Edokpolo, current heavyweight champion (up to 120,2kg) at RIZIN, an Asian organization.

Wearing boxing gloves, the Brazilian impressed with his precision in striking his training partner directly to the chin and also showed great skill in dodging while being attacked. On the same day, the Brazilian tested himself with two other fighters at a gym in Japan.

In Asian lands, Poatan has been visiting historic centers in Osaka while waiting for the event to take place this Saturday (3), to promote the 'first round' of the RIZIN heavyweight tournament, currently a partner of the UFC.

Defeated in his last appearance, Alex lives in the expectation of regaining the title he lost to Magomed Ankalayev. In a statement made after the fight, the fighter highlighted his intention to return to the octagon in August to have revenge against his executioner. Despite the scenario, Dana White has not yet spoken out about the long-awaited duel between the Brazilian and the Russian for the light heavyweight throne.
