As usual, the trips of Alex Poatán are full of unusual moments, to say the least. This time, in its passage through Japan, the former UFC light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg) visited a sumo wrestler training session and even dared to come face to face with one of the giants. However, when it was time to fight, the Pataxó reconsidered the idea.

In a video posted on Instagram stories (watch below), Poatan showed his visit to a training session of about 20 rikishi (as sumo wrestlers are called) who were exercising and competing in coordinated fights in the center of the dojo and trying to throw each other out of the fighting area. At the end of the session, the Brazilian came face to face with one of the athletes, but, when it was time to duel, he preferred to retreat.

“I’m not going anywhere,” said Poatan, laughing and making fun of the moment.
