Very quiet since the defeat suffered by Magomed Ankalayev, Alex Poatán finally used his social networks to talk about his career. In a surprising tone, the Brazilian fired against the UFC's latest attitudes, demanded recognition and did not hesitate to say that he may soon retire from MMA.

“I’ve always answered UFC’s calls, but if they want to play with me, we can do that. I’ve never spoken badly about UFC, but what I’ve heard makes me discouraged. I’ve thought about never fighting again and after what was said to me, this could be the beginning,” Poatan declared on his official X account.

On April 1th, Magomed Ankalayev used his X account to provoke Poatan and stated that he felt that the Brazilian would no longer like to have a rematch after the Russian expressed interest in fighting in August. Since his defeat, Alex has avoided responding to comments from his latest tormentor.

Poatan claims to have been hacked

Hours later, on his official Instagram account, Alex Poatán denied authorship of the criticism of the UFC (see here). The former light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg) claims to have been hacked and reinforces that he has a 'good relationship' with the organization.

PUBLICITY:

“I got a lot of messages from people saying they saw a message on my Twitter. I didn’t even know that. I was hacked. It’s been a while since I posted anything. You can see it there. I’ll be sorting it out here. I don’t even know what’s going on. I’ve always had a very good relationship with the UFC and people like to see bad things. So that’s it. Call me!”, said Poatan.
