The historical rivalry between Jon Jones e Daniel Cormier was once again a topic of conversation for the current heavyweight champion (up to 120,2 kg). 'Bones' believes he would also win if there were a third meeting between the two.

Jon Jones was asked, in interview Geoffrey Woo's YouTube vlog asked what the outcome of a clash between the two in the UFC's heaviest weight class would be. The current champion was confident and convinced in his answer.
“Peak Bones vs. Peak DC at heavyweight? I think I would win.” Daniel Cormier “I beat him at heavyweight better than I beat him at light heavyweight. I feel like my speed transferred in a way that his didn’t. I think I would beat him a lot worse at heavyweight. I kick harder. I know he punched harder at heavyweight, but I kick a lot harder. The historic rivals have met on two occasions. At UFC 182 in 2015, Jones defended his light heavyweight title by defeating 'DC' by unanimous decision. The second clash was at UFC 214 in 2017, when Cormier was the champion. In this episode, 'Bones' won with a beautiful knockout with a head kick in the third round. However, the rematch was later changed to a 'no contest' because Jon Jones failed the anti-doping test.
