Patricio Pitbull provokes José Aldo after Manaus native fails to weigh in at UFC 315

New UFC featherweight (up to 65,7kg) representative, Patricio pitbull arrived in the division willing to move and seek out former talents who performed in the weight class. Aware that José Aldo had great difficulty on the scales during the weigh-in this Friday (9), the potiguar took the opportunity to provoke his compatriot and heat up the rivalry.

“Welcome back to featherweight, José Aldo. That's the division you belong in," Pitbull declared on his official X account.

Playing at bantamweight (up to 61,2 kg) in his last appearances, Aldo failed to make the official weigh-in. UFC 315, where he is scheduled to face Aiemann Zahabi. Despite his exemplary record, the King of Rio ended up making a mistake in his weight and forced the officials to change the fight category, moving it to the featherweight division. The Brazilian weighed 64,8 kg, approximately 7,7 kg above the previously agreed limit.

In a statement after the weigh-in, Zahabi revealed that the organization advised him to stop cutting weight, because Aldo had no chance of reaching the bantamweight limit. Without showing much irritation, the Canadian said that he accepted the offer to continue the fight in the higher division.
