Massacre! Popó doesn't let up, punishes Duda Nagle and wins the main fight of Fight Music Show 6

Four-time world champion tries to knock out the actor, but sees him resist strong blows and win on points

The artist did not disappoint in his show. Acelino Popó did not let up and defeated Duda Nagle in the main fight of the Fight Music Show 6, an event held in São Paulo this Saturday (17). The four-time world boxing champion 'undermined' the actor's ribs with strong blows and took the victory in the unanimous decision of the judges (60-49, 60-49, 60-48), after his rival resisted bravely until the end.

Popó, 49, had his seventh fight in the Fight Music Show, without any defeat. The four-time world boxing champion put on a show in all of them, including names like Whindersson Nunes, Pelé Landi and Bambam. He arrived 10 kg thinner compared to the last performance for the show.

Duda Nagle, Sabrina Sato's ex-husband, failed to win his first appearance in the noble art. Before the fight, the actor had said that the challenge would serve as a 'present' on his 42nd birthday.

Popó 'mines' ribs, but Duda Nagle resists until the end

Like his entire career, Popó started off with a bang. The four-time world champion cornered Duda against the ropes, while the actor spun around the ring and didn't become an easy target for the legend. At close range, Acelino landed a blow that was 'approved' by Nagle with his head. Another blow to the waist also hurt.

Popó had a strong strategy in the second round: betting on strong blows to the waistline. The fighter hit his opponent in the liver, who in turn was already having difficulty breathing. Duda still tried to surprise him with a counterattack, but saw the four-time champion 'dance' with dodges.

The third round also belonged to Acelino Popó, who opened up more and, with an uppercut, shook Duda Nagle. With that, the star went after him with repeated punches to the ribs. The actor, in turn, slowed down his movement and appeared tired, but resisted bravely until the end.

Acelino Freitas didn't come to play around. Strong and fast, Popó came to finish the fight and went for the kill. He hurt him on the top and at the waist. He danced and, with a knockdown, almost won by knockout. Duda Nagle resisted the count.

The fifth round was a 'joke' for Popó. The four-time champion let Duda try to strike and then was relentless in his attempt to knock him out, always at the waist. Nagle fell, but got up. And the synthesis continued in the last round. The actor was applauded for his courage in holding on.

Popó was in tears when talking about Duda's resistance. He mentioned the cases of Bambam and Jr. Dublê as fighters who couldn't handle his blows and made sure to wish his opponent a happy birthday.

“Congratulations, man. It’s your birthday today. I didn’t want a gift like that, but there’s something we choose in life, which is to receive gifts that we desire. You gave the gift to the people who are here today. Unlike Bambam, Dublê and many others, you did it differently. Not even a professional fighter would do that here.”

Duda Nagle, in turn, declared that he was thrilled to share the ring with Popó and admitted that he had already felt the impact of his rival's blows in the second round. The actor said that he held out until the end out of 'honor'.

“It was a tremendous honor to be in the ring with him. I know it was largely because of the 'Music Show', otherwise I would never have made it to the end. I could only do my best. From the second round onwards, I could see that it was blurry. I knew it would be a matter of honor,” said Duda on his 42nd birthday.
