It didn't take long for Gilbert Durinho go to social media to comment on the defeat suffered on Saturday night (17) at UFC Vegas 106. The welterweight fighter (up to 77kg.) was massacred by MichaelMorales, who landed a violent sequence and forced the referee to stop the fight in the first round, declaring a technical knockout. Durinho was the eighth Brazilian to lose a main fight at a UFC event this year.

Durinho suffered his fourth consecutive defeat in the division. At 38 years old, the fighter has not won since 2023, when he overcame Jorge masvidal in the unanimous decision of the judges. Since then, the Brazilian has suffered defeats to Sean brady, Jack Della Maddalena, Belal Muhammad | and now for Morales. Many fans have begun to question whether it might be time for Gilbert to hang up the gloves.
