Alexandre Pantoja surprises with mentality before new fight at UFC 317: 'I don't want to defend the belt'

Escalated to defend your title once again in UFC 317, Alexandre pantoja has a curious mindset, to say the least, to stay motivated and hungry for victories. The flyweight champion (up to 56,7 kg), who has already defended his belt on three occasions, does not see his duel against Kai Kara France as just another defense, but rather as a new conquest.

In an interview with UFC Brazil, Pantoja expressed an ambitious mindset and a constant search for evolution. The Brazilian highlighted that he sees each fight as an opportunity to build a legacy.

At 35, Alexandre pantoja has a solid record in the UFC, with 13 wins and only three losses. The Brazilian won the flyweight belt in July 2023, beating Brandon Moreno, and successfully defended against Brandon Roval, Steve Erceg e Kai Asakura.
