In a video published on the Renato Moicano, on YouTube, Mateusz gamrot He said he didn't know that the UFC had tried to pair him against Maurício Ruffy. However, even though the Brazilian turned down the fight, he made it clear that he would accept the confrontation without hesitation.
“The UFC didn’t talk about it with me, but he did on a podcast. I think the UFC offered the fight and he said no… Yes (I would accept), I’ll fight anyone. Anyone at all. I’m not afraid of anyone, no problem. Like I said, I train a lot, every day, my whole life,” said Gamrot.
Gamrot wants to maintain frequency in 2025
Gamrot expresses his desire to remain active in the UFC, with the goal of fighting three times a year. He reinforces his motivation, especially after spending eight months without fighting.
“I have to show my worth in the octagon. This year, I want to stay active, one fight after another. My goal is to fight three times, but we'll see, because anything can happen. I haven't fought in eight months and I'm hungry,” concluded the Pole.
Mateusz gamrot debuted in the UFC in 2020 and, since then, has accumulated seven wins and three losses. Currently, the Polish fighter is ranked seventh in the featherweight division (up to 70,2 kg). Maurício Ruffy, signed by the UFC through the Contender Series in 2023, debuted in the organization in UFC 301. Since then, he has won three of his three fights, two of which were by knockout.
