Jean Silva comments on rumor of fight against Diego Lopes and says: 'he won't beat me'

Amidst big rumors about a possible fight between Diego lopes x Jean Silva Next, 'Lord' quickly came out in public to cool down his fans' expectations of seeing him face his compatriot next. According to the representative of Fighting Nerds, no contact has been made so far, although he believes that the confrontation makes the most sense at the moment.

“I want to make it clear that this fight, this offer, did not come to me. Of course I think it is a great fight for my game, I think it is perfect, I study the guy's game a lot and I think it is a great fight for me to fight for the belt later (…) I see Yair Rodriguez x Volkanovski and then it's just me and Diego. That's what I think, if the UFC will do it, I'm not sure, but in my opinion that's what fits together", declared Jean on his YouTube channel.

Active in training, Jean pointed out the ideal date to measure forces against his rival.

“It’s a good fight, a fight that would be incredible. Maybe it would even sell the Mexico vs. Brazil thing, even though Diego is Brazilian and I think it’s really cool that he carries both flags. It will also bring back those old barbs that I had with him, but he didn’t have with me. But I don’t know where they would fit this fight, maybe (on the card) Max Holloway x Dustin poirier (July 19th) could be too, I think that would be a good date”

Finally, Lord did not miss the opportunity to provoke his rival and guaranteed that there is no possibility of being defeated if he comes across Diego in the octagon.

“He’s way ahead in the rankings, for Diego to accept fighting me, he’ll say that if he beats Jean, he’ll get the title fight.
