Training for the title-holder's match is being conducted in a secluded village called Kislovodsk, a spa town in Russia's North Caucasus. Chimaev is preparing at the Olympic base that once served athletes at the 1980 Olympics in Moscow.
“This is the Olympic base, Kislovodsk. Probably the best base I have ever been to. The best place to train. TAll the Olympic athletes (do their training camps here). Wrestlers, figure skaters, all sports are here, boxers, non-boxers. It’s a really cool place, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. You just immerse yourself in sports, no cell phone, no nothing,” Chimaev explained in interview to Adam Zubayraev.
“And your head is clear. All the excess disappears, the food also tastes very good,” said the middleweight.
