The premiere of Victor Petrino in the heavyweight division (up to 120,2 kg) it was a spectacle. The miner finished austen lane still in the first round during the UFC Nashville last Saturday (12). After the triumph, in an interview with 'SUPER LUTAS NEWS', the fighter made an appeal: if there is a chance of returning to Brazil in October, in Rio de Janeiro, he will not think twice.
"After the fight, I met with Mick (Maynard, UFC matchmaker) and said that if I had the opportunity, I'd like to fight in Brazil. See how the card is being put together. If I have the opportunity, fighting in Brazil is always good. At home, the time zone, the temperature, the food... It's a whole other thing," he said. Victor Petrino about the opportunity to fight at UFC Rio, negotiated for October of this year.

In his fight against Lane, Petrino displayed patience and refined technique: he began with kicks to the thighs, felt the timing, and landed the takedown. Once on the ground, he used strikes to lure the American into making a mistake, landing the lock that culminated in the submission.
"Auslen Lane is very difficult to read. He's a random guy, because you don't know if he's going to take you down, throw a punch, or kick you. The strategy was to feel the fight out from the start and then impose my game. And that's what happened. I knew he'd slip up sooner or later. I knew he'd get flustered and give something away," concluded the Brazilian about his victory in the UFC Nashville.
As a result, Victor Petrino recovers from a two-fight losing streak in the light heavyweight division (up to 93 kg) and makes a strong debut in the new category. The Brazilian became the first fighter to submit austen lane, which, in turn, is his second consecutive defeat and his fourth in his last five fights.
