The UFC legend Daniel Cormier made an unusual suggestion for the last pay-per-view of the year. The organization's commentator considered an all-female card, with Amanda nunes back in the octagon as the big star of the show.

In the last episode of the program 'Good Guy/Bad Guy' which he shares with Chael Sonenn on ESPN North America, 'DC' gave his impressions on the possibility of the duel Islam makhachev against Jack Della Maddalena at Madison Square Garden in November, when the pair considered possible co-main event matches.

The UFC commentator thought about Alexandre pantoja as the attraction for the second most important fight of the night, which would leave the UFC without male options for the last card of the year. The solution developed would be an unprecedented feat.

"And as for the year-end card, Amanda-Kayla, Weili-Valentina, Josh Van-Pantoja in the co-main event (of UFC 322)? Josh Van is young. He's the kind of guy who bounces back quickly. And Pantoja? Pantoja's been teasing the guys lately. So I think Van-Pantoja (in November), because I think we should have just women in December to close out the year,” Cormier added.

Amanda nunes is ready to return. Out of the octagon since her retirement in 2023, the 'Lioness' reignited her engines and made it clear: she wants to regain the UFC bantamweight belt (up to 61,2 kg) and it doesn't matter where or when. In an interview with 'MMA Fighting', the Brazilian stated that she is focused on the duel against Kayla harrison and assured that she was healthy and ready to go into action.

"The next thing is the 'and new.' I'm going to hear that again. It sounds crazy, right? But I'm going to get my belt back. I said I would, and I will. Hopefully this year. I'll talk to Dana. I'm ready, healthy, training. Brazil, my city, Vegas, whatever. I want my belt back," Amanda declared.

The fight took on more concrete contours after the victory of Kayla harrison about Julianna Pena No. UFC 316, on June 8th of this year. After winning the title, the American challenged Amanda to a face-off inside the octagon. It was the first time the two had faced each other in an official event.

Although they don't have a history of rivalry, Amanda and Kayla have crossed paths. They both trained for a period at American Top Team (ATT) in Coconut Creek, Florida, but according to both, their encounters were brief and isolated.
