Antonio Carlos Shoe Face won the PFL light heavyweight tournament (up to 93 kg) for the second time last Thursday night (21) by submitting American Sullivan Cauley with a rear naked choke in the second round. As the big winner of the category, the Brazilian received a prize of US$ 500 thousand (more than R$ 2,7 million, at the current exchange rate).

To win the belt, the Bahia native had to defeat three opponents over the course of three months. In May and June, he won Karl Moore and Simeon Powell by split and unanimous decision, respectively, to reach this week's grand final against Cauley.
Ironically, the amount received by the fighter is slightly higher than the Big Brother Brasil prize, reality show in which he participated in 2023 and ended up being expelled, after being accused of harassing a woman in the house during a party on the show.
Cara de Sapato had already won the tournament
Almost four years later, the jiu-jitsu black belt managed to repeat the feat in the light heavyweight division (up to 93 kg) and become one of the most successful athletes even after leaving the UFC. In 2021, when he won the tournament for the first time, the prize money was US$1 million. However, the amount corresponded to the sum of the payouts from all stages of the competition. The formula was recently changed to the current format.
