Tom Aspinall reacts to Alex Poatan's victory at UFC 320, predicts the Brazilian's future and says: 'I was wrong'

UFC heavyweight champion admitted he underestimated the Brazilian and highlighted Carlos Ulberg as Poatan's possible next rival

Tom aspinall I didn't expect that Alex Poatán dispatched Magomed Ankalayev with such ease in UFC 320The Briton was confident of another victory for the Russian in the rematch, held last Saturday (4). However, after watching the Brazilian win in just 80 seconds, the heavyweight champion (up to 120,2kg) completely changed his view of his compatriot.

In a video published on his YouTube channel, Tom aspinall expressed surprise and admitted that he had jumped to conclusions about Alex Poatán.

“What? A minute and twenty (seconds), something like that? Pereira just ran over him. Look, I was wrong. I was wrong. This is very, very, very impressive.” he said. Tom aspinall.

The British pointed out that Carlos Ulberg should be Poatan's next opponent in the light heavyweight division (up to 93kg), but he acknowledged the Brazilian's desire to move up to heavyweight.

Although Poatan's future is still uncertain, the Brazilian's desire has already been revealed. After winning Magomed Ankalayev, Poatan stated, in a respectful tone, that he wants a super fight against Jon Jones in the heavyweights.
