Charles do Bronx analyzes Poatan vs. Jon Jones, predicts a 'scary' fight, and reveals UFC fan support

Even though he was focused on preparing for UFC Rio, Charles of the Bronx did not fail to give his opinion on one of the most talked about duels of the moment in the world of fighting: Alex Poatán x Jon Jones. In an interview during the media day, which was attended by SUPER FIGHTS, the former lightweight champion (up to 70,3 kg) revealed his admiration for 'Bones', but stated that he would root for his compatriot if the superfight is confirmed.

“It’s even complicated to talk about, because the Jon Jones He's a guy I really admire. It's going to be a fight that I'm going to sit down to watch and I'm going to root for our Brazilian (Alex Poatán). But I'll be watching with trepidation, because Jones is a gigantic guy. Any guy who gets in front of Poatan, regardless of whether he's a takedown guy or not, if he connects with a hand, he'll be knocked out," Charles declared.

The possible superfight between Alex Poatán e Jon Jones has been making waves behind the scenes at the UFC in recent weeks. The current light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg) has publicly expressed his desire to face the American, even if it means moving up to the heavyweight division.

'Bones', in turn, also mentioned the Brazilian's name in recent interviews, but the realization of the match still depends on several factors, including the availability of both athletes and the approval of president Dana White.
