Charles of the Bronx left UFC Rio with an extremely positive balance. At the event held this Saturday (11), the Brazilian put on a show by finishing Mateusz gamrot in the second round of the main fight and won one of the 'Performance of the Night' bonuses. Thus, the company's former lightweight champion (up to 70,3 kg) took home a check for $50 (more than R$275, at the current exchange rate).
The UFC announced the awards shortly after the event. In the Octagon, Charles showed his ground game. In the second round, the Brazilian landed a beautiful takedown on Gamrot, took his back, and quickly finished him with a tight rear-naked choke. With his quick victory at the show, Do Bronx, already the greatest finisher and bonus collector in the company's history, extended those records to 17 and 21, respectively.

In the strawweight division (up to 52,2 kg), Polastri dominated Karolina Kowalkiewicz and knocked her out in the third round. In the heavyweight division (up to 120,2 kg), Petrino delivered a brutal knockout to Thomas Petersen in the third and final partial.
