Mateusz gamrot had a reality check when faced with Charles of the Bronx at UFC Rio, held last Saturday (11). The Polish man was dominated and finalized in the second round, without posing any danger to the Brazilian. However, the fighter assures that this is not the end of his career.

In a meaningful Instagram post, Gamrot used a metaphor to describe his defeat. The Pole compared himself to a wolf who couldn't withstand the force of the storm and admitted he fell, not for lack of courage, but due to the weight of circumstances, promising that this is not the end of his journey.

"The wolf couldn't withstand the storm. The wind was too strong, the lightning was too close, and the ground beneath my feet shook like a heart. He's on the ground. Not for lack of courage, but from the weight of everything the sky was carrying. But even so, he didn't turn back. He didn't give up. He raised his head to the dark clouds and, with a tense look and tears in his eyes, he said: It's not over yet!!" wrote the Pole.

Gamrot further reinforced the message of resilience by stating that, although the storm halted his progress, it was unable to destroy him. The fighter emphasized that, despite the uncertainties and difficulties, the flame in his heart still burns, representing his will to move forward and rise again. The metaphor of the "wolf and the storm" summarizes his stance in the face of defeat: beaten, but not broken.

"For though the storm impeded his progress, it could not break his path. Deep within his heart, the flame still burns, and it is this flame that guides him further, through the wind, through the night, through uncertainty. The wolf did not pass through the storm, but the storm did not break him either." Mateusz gamrot.

With the defeat to Charles of the Bronx, Mateusz gamrot suffered his fourth career loss, the first by stoppage. The Polish fighter missed his chance to break into the top five of his division and is now experiencing a run of two losses in his last three fights.
