Pablo Sucupira sees a positive side in the defeat of Mauricio Ruffy No. UFC Paris. The Fighting Nerds prospect came face to face with Benoit Saint-Denis in the co-main event of the event held in the French capital, and although he entered the octagon as the heavy favorite, he didn't live up to expectations, being submitted in the second round and losing some of his hype. For the coach, however, this setback could be a blessing.

In an interview with 'PVT', Pablo Sucupira reflected on the pressure that falls on Mauricio Ruffy and pointed out that it may be directly linked to the athlete's above-average talent. According to the leader of Fighting Nerds, the defeat in UFC Paris served as a turning point, allowing the prospect to slow down and evolve at their own pace, without the need to respond to demands.

"Maybe he's the more talented, and therefore, he's under greater pressure. Everyone wanted a beautiful knockout and things never seen before. So, after this loss, he has the chance to make his own way and go at his own pace, win fights, and have people accept fights with him," said Pablo Sucupira.

The coach also highlighted Luffy's introspective side, describing him as a martial artist constantly seeking self-discovery. Sucupira said he saw renewed energy in the fighter after the setback, especially his willingness to seek new challenges and experiences.

"He's a very introspective martial artist. He searches for many answers within himself, but what I can say about Luffy is that I saw an energy I hadn't seen in a long time. He said, 'Pablito, I need to move around, spar outside.' I really admired that about him and believe in him even more," concluded the coach.
