Official! Netflix cancels Jake Paul vs. Gervonta Davis boxing event.

What was once a rumor has become reality. The boxing event that was to feature Jake Paul vs. Gervonta Davis as the main fight, scheduled to take place on November 14 in Miami (USA), has been cancelled. Netflix, which was going to broadcast the show live, and 'Most Valuable Promotions', the company responsible for promoting it, announced the decision this Monday (3), after the boxer had a new and serious problem with the Justice system.

Through an official statement sent to the press, the companies informed that the decision was made after Davis's ex-girlfriend sued him for domestic violence. Courtney Rossel accused the wrestler of assault, aggravated assault (aggravated bodily harm), false imprisonment, kidnapping, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

With the cancellation of the event, the trilogy between Anderson Silva and Chris Weidman will also not happen. Following the decision, MVP announced that the plan is to put Jake in the main fight of an event by the streaming giant sometime in 2025. To date, the date and location for the show have not been defined, nor has the YouTuber's new opponent.
