Alex Poatan has just gained a strong competitor in the race for a super fight against Jon Jones . After the Brazilian challenged 'Bones' and the former champion signaled positively for the duel, it was Francis Ngannou 's turn to enter the fray and mention the American.

In an interview with 'TMZ', Francis Ngannou stated that no fight in MMA would have the same magnitude as a confrontation against Jon Jones . The Cameroonian believes that the duel between the two would represent the biggest event in the history of the sport, without diminishing other fights or athletes.

“The greatest fight of all time can only happen between Jon Jones and Francis Ngannou . That’s all I can say about it. No disrespect to other fights or fighters. I respect all fights and all athletes, regardless of whether they are on the main card or the preliminary card, wherever they are. Great fights happen everywhere. I became world champion at the APEX, without an audience, so I respect the fights and the fighters. It’s not about the place, but if you want to talk about the greatest of all, then this is the one that makes everything great,” said Francis Ngannou.

Although the Cameroonian has put his name forward for a fight against Jon Jones , the American seems more inclined to face Alex Poatan . However, "Bones" still needs to convince the UFC about his return to the octagon.
