Max Holloway is determined to seek his rematch against Ilia Topuria wherever it may be. The Hawaiian, knocked out for the first time in his career at UFC 308 in October 2024, decided to follow the Spaniard to lightweight (up to 70,3kg) in search of a second fight. With rumors that the champion may move up to welterweight (up to 77kg), the BMF belt holder does not rule out following him again should the move be confirmed.

In an interview with The Mac Life, Holloway made it clear that he still sees unresolved issues in the fight against Topuria and intends to continue pursuing the rematch. The fighter indicated that, should his rival actually move up a weight class after resolving personal matters, he would also consider competing at welterweight to make the rematch possible.
