This Saturday (13), the UFC Apex hosts the company's last event in 2025. In the main event, Brandon Royval faces Manel Kape in the flyweight category (up to 56,7 kg). This will be the first direct confrontation between the two. Before that, Giga Chikadze tries to get back on track after two consecutive defeats. Chikadze faces Argentinian Kevin Vallejos in the featherweight category (up to 65,7 kg). The preliminary card starts at 21 pm.
In the final fight of the night, Brandon Royval attempts a victory to remain among the potential contenders for the flyweight title. Royval and Manel Kape have never faced each other. The fight is high-level, given that Brandon is ranked second while Kape remains in sixth place. The 33-year-old American has only fought once in 2025, losing to Joshua Van via unanimous decision at UFC 317 in June. Manel, on the other hand, is on a winning streak. The 32-year-old Angolan has won his last two fights via technical knockout against Bruno Silva and Asu Almabayev respectively.
In the co-main event, 37-year-old Giga Chikadze faces a much younger opponent and tries to avoid a three-fight losing streak. Chikadze is ranked 15th in the featherweight division. On the other side, 24-year-old Argentinian Kevin Vallejos is on a great run, accumulating five consecutive wins. Vallejos is still undefeated in the UFC, winning his only two fights. The young fighter has not yet entered the rankings.
