In January, in Las Vegas (USA), Jean Silva recovered from his first UFC defeat and, with his victory over Arnold Allen , moved closer to entering the top 5 of the featherweight division (up to 65,8 kg). Vocal and popular, the Brazilian, dreaming of a title shot, took to provoking champion Alexander Volkanovski . Indeed, the Australian had better watch out, because the bad boy isn't messing around.

Jean, who has already begun his campaign to become the number one contender in the division, stated that he will pursue Volkanovski until he gets the fight. It's worth noting that the UFC recently announced that the undefeated fighters Movsar Evloev and Lerone Murphy , ranked number one and number three in the weight class respectively, will face each other on March 21st, possibly to determine the champion's next opponent.

But despite the importance of the duel, the company has not confirmed that it is a 'title eliminator', even though the Australian is interested in the pair. Therefore, the Brazilian is racing against time to get Volkanovski's attention, create a rivalry, and generate interest in the UFC to promote him to the number one contender position.

After defeating Arnold Allen by unanimous decision, Jean Silva became the sixth-ranked featherweight and established himself as the only fighter capable of dethroning Alexander Volkanovski . The powerful Brazilian predicts that if the fight against the champion happens, he will knock him out.

It's true that, recently, the Australian showed no interest in facing the bad boy and explained that, in his understanding, Movsar Evloev and Lerone Murphy are more deserving of a featherweight title fight. Annoyed by the veteran's stance, the 'Fighting Nerds' athlete announced that he will propose a partnership with Ilia Topuria , the last fighter to defeat 'The Great', to destroy him.
