After impressing in the Contender Series, Kurtis Campbell struggled in his debut in the world's largest MMA organization. At UFC London , an event held this Saturday (21), the Englishman, known as 'Pink Panther' for wearing a striking pink short, was surprised and, even fighting at home, succumbed. Despite being the favorite in the duel, the athlete was knocked out by Danny Silva in the second round, in a fight valid for the featherweight division (up to 65,8 kg).
Thus, Campbell, 23, lost his undefeated record in MMA and saw his hype suffer a major blow. Now, the Englishman has eight wins, six of them by stoppage (five by knockout and one by submission), and one tough defeat.

Campbell started the fight by throwing punches and kicks at Silva. Then, Campbell took Silva down, took his back, but lost the position and ended up on the bottom. Undeterred, Campbell got up and attacked with his arsenal of strikes. In turn, Silva relied on low kicks and crosses.
In the second round, Silva went all out and attacked Campbell relentlessly. With sheer power, Silva knocked Campbell down with a straight punch. Confident, Silva continued striking Campbell and, when Campbell got up, landed another straight punch, forcing the referee to stop the fight.
