Vicente Luque survived the initial attacks and remained faithful to the strategy.

With quick boxing combinations, Gastelum dominated the center of the octagon and forced the Brazilian to retreat in the opening seconds of the fight. Despite this, Luque continued to attack with good low kicks and sequences of punches at opportune moments. The American managed to change the level of the fight and take it to the ground with an efficient double leg takedown, before trapping his opponent against the cage.

When the two separated, Vicente landed a powerful right hand that sent Gastelum to the ground, before attacking with his specialty: a perfectly executed triangle choke, which forced his opponent to tap out when the clock showed four minutes and eight seconds of the first round.

On the other hand, the Argentinian, who accepted the fight at short notice, suffered his fourth consecutive defeat and therefore runs a great risk of being fired.

The Argentinian dominated the action from the start of the fight. He marched forward, cornered his opponent against the cage, and landed good strikes, such as a strong kick to the midsection and a right cross to the head. After that, Radtke quickly took his opponent down and spent most of the first round controlling Prado both from his guard and in transitions to his back. The second round followed a similar rhythm, with the American using grappling to slow down Francisco's intense striking pace. Despite finishing the middle round on the bottom, Radtke still opened a cut on his rival's forehead with a short elbow strike.

Aware of the need to finish the fight, Prado went on the offensive in the final round with strong combinations of punches to his opponent's waistline and head. However, he ended up losing a point for poking the American in the eye. The Argentinian almost managed to stop the fight at the last minute with a guillotine choke, but Radtke showed great resilience to defend against the choke and maintain control of the fight until the final bell.

At the end of the regulation 15 minutes, all jurors scored 30 to 26 in favor of Charles Radtke.
