The American faced the Kazakh in a duel valid for the welterweight division (up to 77 kg) and, with an overwhelming start, knocked out his rival in the first round.
In just three and a half minutes of combat, Khaos cornered Veretennikov against the cage and unleashed a series of powerful punches that left his opponent stunned. He then connected with a clean straight punch that forced the referee to stop the fight.

With the victory, Williams reached 16 wins in his career. As a bonus, the American ended his losing streak after two consecutive losses in the UFC.

Bernardo Sopaj proved why he is considered one of the top prospects in the bantamweight division (up to 61,2kg). The Brazilian faced Timmy Cuamba on the main card of ufc vegas 117 After hurting his rival with strong blows in the stand-up fight, he forced the American to give up the duel with a tight rear-naked choke in the second round.
With the victory, Sopaj reached 13 career wins and, at 25 years old, achieved his second UFC victory. Cuamba, on the other hand, suffered his fourth defeat, his third in the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
Edwards impresses, but Bukauskas prevails in a split decision at UFC Vegas 117.
Even without winning, Christian Edwards showed that he can be a great addition to the Ultimate's light heavyweight division (up to 93 kg). The American faced Modest Bukauskas on the main card of ufc vegas 117 And even though he accepted the fight at the last minute, he put up a real war against the Lithuanian-British fighter, but ended up losing by split decision.
With the setback, Edwards suffered his fifth career defeat, while Bukauskas had his arm raised for the 20th time in his professional career.
