Conor McGregor 's return to the UFC shouldn't be a one-off event, but rather the start of a new phase in his career. This is the assessment of his manager, Audie Attar, who dismissed the possibility that the main event of UFC 329 against Max Holloway would represent a farewell for the Irishman. Since the fight was announced, some fans have questioned whether the bout would only mark a one-off appearance by McGregor, a scenario that doesn't align with the team's plans.
In an interview with MMA Junkie, Attar indicated that the intention is to keep McGregor active after his return, highlighting that this moment represents a kind of "new season" in the fighter's career. According to the manager, in addition to the fight against Holloway, scheduled for July 11, there is already an expectation for an immediate sequence of fights, without long periods of inactivity.
“I can say that he intends to stay active. This is the new season, and he (McGregor) definitely wants to stay active. We are looking forward not only to this fight against Max Holloway on July 11th, but also to the next one, and we're not going to wait a year, that's for sure. We're not looking too far ahead. We're focusing one step at a time, as it should be, because Max Holloway is a formidable opponent, and we need to get the job done on July 11th.”, Audie Attar.

Attar also assessed the fight as challenging, especially given McGregor's long absence compared to Holloway's recent activity. Still, he expressed confidence in the Irishman's preparation, both physically and mentally, and predicted a great performance on the night of the event, with the potential to please the audience.
“I think it’s a tough matchup. When you’ve been out for as long as Conor has, facing a formidable opponent of the same age and experience, one of whom has been very active, is complicated. But I’m also confident in the preparation Conor has been doing. I’m confident in how he is mentally and emotionally, and I believe that on fight night, the fans will be very satisfied with this fight,” concluded the Irishman’s manager.
