Jeisla Chaves dominates on her feet, nearly submits her opponent, and wins in her UFC Vegas 118 debut.

Jeisla Chaves had a great debut in the Ultimate octagon. The Brazilian, who secured her contract through the Contender Series, entered the action at UFC Vegas 118 , held this Saturday (6), and, after three action-packed rounds against Yuneisy Duben , 'A Braba' had her arm raised by split decision of the judges.

With the victory, Jeisla Chaves reached her seventh career win and remains undefeated. Yuneisy, on the other hand, suffered her second defeat and has yet to win in the organization.

Jeisla dominates the action, neutralizes takedowns, and wins by decision at UFC Vegas 118.

Jeisla started the fight focusing on kicks to the midsection, while Yuneisy invested in movement to find the best moment to attack. On the Venezuelan's first approach, the Brazilian landed a counter straight punch that forced her to retreat. However, Duben then managed a takedown, but Jeisla quickly got back to her feet and returned to the fight.

With the fight returning to striking, Jeisla began to land the most effective blows. Varying between jabs, low kicks, counter punches, and elbows in the clinch, the Brazilian gained the upper hand and hurt her opponent. Yuneisy, on the other hand, continued to rely on movement and, in the final stretch of the round, even attempted another takedown, but without success.

At the start of the second round, Yuneisy again focused on grappling, but her takedown attempts were unsuccessful. After a power struggle in the clinch, Jeisla managed to break free from her opponent. With the fight back on her feet, the Brazilian stepped up her game and took the fight to the ground.

Once on the ground, Jeisla Chaves took advantage of a moment of carelessness from her opponent, took her back and began to threaten with a rear-naked choke, but was unable to secure the submission.

The third round began at a slower pace, but Jeisla maintained control of the action. After a careless kick from her opponent, the Brazilian executed a beautiful takedown and got to her back, but couldn't secure the submission.

Subsequently, Yuneisy defended Jeisla's attacks, reversed the position on the ground, and finished the fight on top until the final bell rang.
