During the break, coach Diego Lima asked the fighter to use his front kicks more and vary his attacks. The athlete returned better for the second round, connecting with good strikes on his feet, but continued to find it difficult to take down his opponent. Raposo, in turn, maintained his efficiency in the striking exchanges and responded with precise attacks.
With a combination of jab and straight punch, the Brazilian knocked down the American in the third round and quickly took control on the ground. He worked from top position looking for a submission, but encountered resistance from his opponent, who managed to defend himself and survive until the end of the fight. At the end of the 15 minutes of regulation time, Mitch Raposo was declared the winner by split decision, with two judges scoring it 29-28 in his favor.
The fighting battle ends with the judges' decision.
Gaston Bolanos secured an important victory in the featherweight division (up to 65,7 kg) by defeating Michael Aswell Jr. The Peruvian gained an advantage in the early stages, exploiting his Muay Thai experience and using a variety of kicks to control the distance and hinder his opponent's approach. In response, his opponent relied on straight punches and boxing combinations to target his rival's face.
In the second round, Bolanos maintained his strategy based on leg attacks and surprised by investing in grappling, securing two takedowns that extended his advantage. Despite this, the American remained competitive and landed good strikes in the stand-up exchanges.
The third round was marked by Aswell Jr.'s comeback, as he increased the pressure and began landing more strikes on his feet. He even managed a takedown in the final stretch, but it wasn't enough to undo the work Bolanos had built up in the previous rounds. At the end of the 15-minute regulation time, all three judges scored the fight in favor of the Peruvian, with a final score of 29-28.
Georgian wrestler achieves lightning victory.
Levan Chokeli secured a lightning-fast victory in the welterweight division (up to 77,1 kg) by defeating Leon Shahbazyan in just 23 seconds. The Georgian opened the scoring with low kicks that disrupted his opponent's movement in the opening moments. He then capitalized on the opening to land precise body shots and quickly raise his guard.
Without giving his opponent a chance to react, Chokeli landed a powerful sequence of blows to the head, forcing the fight to be stopped. With an explosive and efficient performance, the Georgian demonstrated knockout power and precision in his attacks, ending the duel in a dominant fashion against Shahbazyan.
