Brunno Hulk went to Azerbaijan looking to recover in the biggest MMA organization in the world, but suffered his second consecutive defeat. At UFC Baku , an event held this Saturday (27), the Brazilian faced Ikram Aliskerov and had difficulty dealing with his strength and grappling. After 15 minutes of action, the athlete, dominated by the Russian, lost by unanimous decision.
With his second consecutive defeat, Hulk is experiencing the worst moment of his career. Furthermore, the Brazilian has definitively moved away from returning to the top 15 of the middleweight division (up to 83,9 kg). Meanwhile, Aliskerov, who has nothing to do with this, secured his third consecutive victory and consequently defended his 14th position in the ranking.
Brunno Hulk , 33, is a veteran of MMA. The Brazilian began his career in the sport in 2019 and debuted in the UFC in 2023. In the sport, the athlete built a record of 15 wins, 14 by stoppage (nine by knockout and five by submission), and four losses. His main victories were over Gregory Robocop and Marvin Vettori.

Aliskerov started the fight pressuring Hulk, landing crosses and low kicks. Cautious, Hulk waited for the right moment to attack and startled Aliskerov with punches. Quickly, Aliskerov clung to Hulk and took him down, but couldn't control him on the ground. In the striking exchanges, Aliskerov landed dangerous kicks on Hulk. In turn, Hulk responded with crosses. Sharp, Aliskerov tried to surprise Hulk with a flying knee and took him down again. On the ground, Aliskerov controlled Hulk and landed punches to his face and body. Standing, Hulk landed a good straight right on Aliskerov.
In the second round, Hulk landed some good crosses and straight punches on Aliskerov. Confident, Aliskerov advanced around the octagon and threw straight punches at Hulk. Showing improvement in his striking, Aliskerov landed a powerful straight punch on Hulk and took him down. On the ground, Aliskerov controlled Hulk, took his back, but couldn't hold him. Standing, Aliskerov continued to rock Hulk with punches and a flying knee. Fiercely, Hulk landed straight punches on Aliskerov, but appeared tired. Then, Aliskerov easily took Hulk down. Standing again, Aliskerov unbalanced Hulk with a jab.
In the third and final round, Aliskerov rocked Hulk with two powerful punches. Confident, Aliskerov stayed on top of Hulk and took him down. From the bottom, Hulk landed good elbows on Aliskerov, but gave up his back. In a comfortable position on the ground, Aliskerov dished out punches to Hulk while looking for a rear-naked choke. Dominant in the octagon, Aliskerov punished Hulk with punches.
