VIDEO: Former World Champion Brutally Knocked Out in Bare-Knuckle Boxing

Austin Trout has seen better days throughout his career. The former World Boxing Association (WBA) champion put on a show before his fight at BKFC (bare-knuckle boxing), but was brutally knocked out by Ben Bonner and ended up without the title ( see the video below ). The event took place this Friday (03), in Philadelphia (USA).

Austin Trout stepped into the ring to defend his welterweight title dressed as Apollo Creed, the character from the movie Rocky. He was wearing a top hat, shorts, a robe, and even a glove (which he later removed) with the American flag. The outfit paid homage to the Independence of the United States, celebrated on July 4th.

In the fight, however, the American's performance was not as expected. Trout, who was undefeated in bare-knuckle boxing, was knocked down for the first time when Ben Bonner landed a punch to the midsection in the opening seconds of the fight. He managed to get up, but it didn't last long.

The outcome came 30 seconds into the second round when a right hook sent Trout to the canvas. The count began, but Austin Trout couldn't get back to his feet in 10 seconds, losing the title and his undefeated record in BKFC. ( see video below )

Who is Austin Trout?

Austin Dwayne Trout, 40, had a successful career in boxing. He was a world champion with the World Boxing Association (WBA) from 2011 to 2013. In boxing, he amassed a professional record of 37 wins, 18 by knockout, five losses, and one draw.

In 2024, the American transitioned to bare-knuckle boxing (BKFC) and was one of the leading names in the sport, undefeated and champion of the welterweight division. However, his reign came to a brutal end, as can be seen in the video below:
