In the important event that takes place this Saturday (11), in Las Vegas (USA), the promising Gable Stevenson , 26 years old, makes his debut in the organization against Elisha Ellison . And, according to Jon Jones , friend and mentor of the athlete, it is only a matter of time before he reaches the top of the heavyweight division (up to 120,2 kg).

In an interview with the YouTube channel 'Red Corner MMA', the MMA legend prophesied and stated that Gable is already ready to be elevated to the top of the division and even beat them. And Jones' confidence is understandable, given that he has been closely following the fighter's evolution, who is a wrestling specialist.

Gable won the gold medal in wrestling at the Tokyo Olympics (Japan) in 2020 and is undefeated in MMA, with three first-round knockout victories. Therefore, Jones believes the sky's the limit for his protégé in the company.

“I think if we put him against the top five in the UFC right now, he would do very well . He still has a lot of work to do, of course, but at the rate he's progressing, he's going to become one of the best heavyweights very quickly . I believe he will succeed and I'm willing to bet on it,” said the MMA star.
