The ever-vocal Conor McGregor was quiet, but it only took being provoked to show that his 'trash talk' remains venomous. This Saturday (11), in Las Vegas (USA), the Irish star, who hasn't fought since 2021, headlines UFC 329 , faces Max Holloway for the second time in his career, but clashed with Justin Gaethje . As he doesn't take insults lying down, 'Notorious' gave a very unfriendly response to the lightweight champion (up to 70,3 kg).
It all started when the American once again expressed interest in facing McGregor, revealed that he would be in the front row of the 'T-Mobile Arena' to watch the fight, and declared that he 'would love to punch him in the face'. Upon learning of Gaethje's threat, the Irishman laughed and made a point of reminding McGregor of the humiliation he suffered against 'Blessed' at UFC 300 in 2024.

On that occasion, Gaethje put his 'BMF' (Baddest Motherfucker) belt on the line against Holloway and suffered a brutal and historic knockout with one second remaining in the fight. It's worth noting that this wasn't the first time 'The Highlight' publicly expressed his desire to face McGregor. However, 'Notorious' downplayed the importance of his rival, as he aims to become the first athlete to be a champion in three different weight classes in the UFC.
“Get in line. There are a lot of people wanting it. He has the lightweight belt, congratulations to him. But Holloway left him face down, with his butt up. He was face down on the ground and in terrible condition,” said the MMA star at the UFC 329 media day.
"I'm not even thinking about that right now. Going back to the lightweight division? I'm not so sure. I'm focused on the triple crown. So, less disrespect, you s***," he concluded.

Conor McGregor , 37, is an MMA legend and the most popular fighter in the sport's history. The Irishman began his career in the sport in 2008 and debuted in the UFC in 2013. With the company, 'Notorious' was champion in the featherweight division (up to 65,8 kg) and the lightweight division.
In his career, McGregor won 22 fights, 20 of them by stoppage (19 by knockout and one by submission), and lost six times. His main victories were over Chad Mendes , Donald Cerrone , Dustin Poirier , Eddie Alvarez, José Aldo , Max Holloway , and Nate Diaz.
