If the main fight of UFC 329 was already anticipated, as it marks Conor McGregor 's return to the octagon after a five-year hiatus, the face-off to promote the event made it even more prominent. This is because, at the pre-show press conference, held last Thursday (9), in Las Vegas (USA), the Irish star and Max Holloway were involved in a tense moment and had to be separated by the security team.
During the press conference, the legendary fighters constantly argued, showing that the atmosphere was far from good. Therefore, after the provocations, the pair wouldn't engage in a friendly face-off. However, an agitated McGregor took the initiative and intensified the rivalry with Holloway. When they came face-to-face, 'Notorious' surprised everyone by removing 'Blessed's' sunglasses, who remained unfazed.

Next, the Irishman pressed his forehead against Holloway's, who accepted the contact. As they separated, the Hawaiian calmly extended his hand to greet McGregor, who, in a warlike manner, didn't want any diplomacy and slapped it away. The rivals faced off again until they were separated once more. Still on stage, 'Blessed', excited, let out a shout, while 'Notorious' thanked the fans for their support and proudly displayed his two symbolic belts created by the UFC.
