Carlos Prates , it seems, has become the new target of the UFC welterweights (up to 77 kg). After being challenged by Uros Medic and Sean Brady , the Fighting Nerds representative also came onto the radar of Ty Miller, who made a point of praising the Brazilian after maintaining his unbeaten record at UFC Vegas 120 , held last Saturday (8).
In a press conference after the event, Miller revealed that he has been compared to names like Carlos Condit and Carlos Prates himself , but stressed that he seeks to build his own identity within the octagon. The American also highlighted his desire to become a fighter beloved by the public.
“Yes, I’ve been compared to Carlos Condit and even Carlos Pratas. Which is cool, but I have my own style, you know what I mean? I’m looking to be a fan favorite,” said Ty Miller.

The athlete also didn't hide his admiration for the Brazilian and pointed to Prates as his dream fight. According to Miller, facing the Fighting Nerds smoker would be a great opportunity, although he acknowledges that the fight might not happen immediately.
“Many people ask me what my dream fight would be. And it would be against him, respectively. He’s a very good guy, you know what I mean? And as a fan, I really enjoy watching Carlos Pratas and I would love to fight him someday. Obviously that’s a bit far off now, maybe not, but I would love to fight him someday,” concluded the undefeated fighter.
Ty Miller maintained his undefeated career record by defeating Billy Ray Goff in the opening fight of the UFC Vegas 120 main card . With a reach advantage and a high level of boxing, the 26-year-old American won the fight by knockout 15 seconds into the third round. The result brought his career total to eight wins, two of which have come in the UFC octagon.
