The world of MMA suffered a serious blow this weekend. American Michael Kirkham, aged 30, passed away last night, after being knocked out at the “Confrontation at the Convocation”, an event held on June 26th. The fighter, who was fighting his first fight as a professional, was hospitalized with a cerebral hemorrhage as a result of the blows he suffered in the fight, but he did not survive his injuries.
This was the second case of death in MMA since the sport began to be regulated by the American Athletic Commissions.
