Ian Machado Garry tried to shock the world at UFC 330 , but became just another statistic in Islam Makhachev 's history . In the main event held last Saturday (15), in Philadelphia (USA), the Irishman had some good moments, but was controlled by the welterweight champion (up to 77,1 kg) and lost by unanimous decision. In the post-fight interview, Machado Garry made a point of apologizing to Anderson Silva and the 'Chute Boxe Diego Lima' gym. And the Irishman's attitude is understandable. Because he was defeated, 'The Future' allowed Makhachev to break 'The Spider's' record for the longest winning streak in UFC history. Now, the Russian is the undisputed leader in that statistic, with 17.

Furthermore, despite training with the renowned team based in São Paulo and being embraced by fighters and coaches, Machado Garry felt he fell short of expectations. In fact, the Irishman had Demian Maia and Diego Lima in his corner.

“I’m proud of my team and my family. I love my wife, my little son. I fight to make them happy and I’m proud of everything I’ve achieved. Chute Boxe, I’m sorry for everything. Anderson Silva , I’m sorry. I love you very much, my family in Brazil. When I return to the octagon, I will improve. It never stops here (points to his head),” said the fighter while still in the octagon.

"To all my fans, I'm sorry I couldn't win. But I'm here, as a man proud of what I've done and where I come from. I love you all. I love myself and I love my team very much. I'll be back, okay?", he concluded.
