Out of action due to health problems, Gordon Ryan returned to the spotlight in combat sports, but for a very unpleasant reason. Last Saturday (12), in Poland, the American, a jiu-jitsu legend, was present on the first day of ADCC, the most prestigious world grappling championship on the planet, and simply caused a stir by getting involved in a general brawl in the stands.

Ryan, the tournament's all-time leading winner, acted as a coach this time and was in Dorian Olivarez's corner, who had a controversial fight with Bezkat Kapashov. Olivarez submitted Kapashov, but before that, they exchanged blows on the mat and were reprimanded. Because of what happened, the atmosphere became tense between the teams. Seeing a fight breaking out in the stands, the jiu-jitsu star stepped in to defend his team, which was outnumbered, and came out worse.
In a fight against a large group of enemies, Ryan ended up on the ground, was attacked with punches and kicks to the head and body, and even defended himself against a chokehold. Shortly after, the security team managed to put an end to the fight, but the damage had already been done. Therefore, the American, who lost his hat in the confusion, returned to his coaching duties as normal. After the regrettable scenes, Olivarez and Kapashov were disqualified from the tournament.
