It's no secret that Paulo Borrachinha and Tom Aspinall have a somewhat troubled relationship with Dana White. In fact, this connection became even more unstable due to a firm stance taken by the UFC president at the post- UFC 331 press conference , an event held last Saturday (19) in California (USA).

It's true that the UFC president didn't mention the pair. However, Dana stressed that it makes no sense for fighters in his company to accept being managed by Eddie Hearn, his rival and known for his boxing career. It's worth noting that, in the past, the two executives had a good relationship, but it deteriorated after the American entered the world of boxing with 'Zuffa Boxing'.
To make matters worse, Dana removed Conor Benn from Matchroom Boxing, his rival's company. In response, Hearn became the representative of Aspinall, Ian Machado Garry , and Michael Page . In addition to the trio, Borrachinha announced that he will also be managed by the Englishman. Therefore, Dana didn't miss the chance to mock his rival and, consequently, sent a worrying message to the athletes.
“When guys sign with Eddie Hearn, I’m not trying to be sarcastic, we just burst out laughing. It’s hilarious. Anyone who wants to sign with Eddie Hearn as their manager, feel free. They can sign with whoever they want. We always have to deal with someone,” said the UFC president.
“What did Eddie Hearn do? What did Eddie Hearn do for Aspinall, the first guy to sign with him? Does he have an unbelievable number of sponsors now? Everyone wants to make a big deal out of this story, 'Oh, this guy signed with him.' We don't care if a wrestler signed with Eddie Hearn.”
“What did Eddie Hearn do? He’s drowning trying to save his damn business right now. I haven’t spoken to Eddie Hearn. Nobody has spoken to Eddie Hearn. He might want some strategic guidance on the business he’s currently involved in,” he concluded.
