“Now I’m moving up a weight class, which I believe is due to my maturity bringing me to where I am now, physical maturity. I’m getting stronger, so it was getting harder to make weight and I don’t want to lose speed, so I just stayed at my natural weight. I don’t lack strength, I have the strength of a heavyweight,” said Johnny Walker.
The fighter also commented on his strategy should the plan for the fight not work out over the rounds. Walker stated that he intends to rely on the power of his hands and increase his aggression to avoid repeating a problem he experienced in his previous bout.
"You can expect from me, if I get past the second round and see that the game plan didn't work, I'm going to bite my mouthguard, lower my chin and punch them hard. My last fight lacked that, I'm not going to let it happen again," revealed the Brazilian.
