Aljamain Sterling will face Argentine prospect Kevin Vallejos at UFC Doha in Qatar on November 21, seeking a shot at the featherweight title (up to 65,8 kg). However, the American believes Jean Silva hasn't yet done enough to deserve a title shot.
In an interview with Ariel Helwani's YouTube channel, available last Wednesday (30), Sterling was asked about the possibility of Jean being the next challenger for the category title. The former bantamweight champion (up to 61,2 kg) has 18 wins in 23 fights in the Ultimate.

“Absolutely not ( Jean Silva will be next for the belt). He’d better fight someone else. Honestly, I think it will all depend on who is in better shape in the coming months and then who wins the title fight between Movsar and Volkanovski,” said Aljamain Sterling.
Jean Silva is currently enjoying a standout moment in the UFC and is establishing himself as one of the most dangerous names in the featherweight division. The Brazilian has gained prominence with a series of victories and impressive performances, but, in Sterling's view, he still needs to overcome another opponent before receiving a title shot.
