Vitor Petrino has already defined his target for the next step in the UFC heavyweight division (up to 120,2 kg). Amidst the back-and-forth with Valter Walker , the Brazilian revealed his desire to face Curtis Blaydes , considered one of the main obstacles for anyone seeking to reach the top 5 in the category.
In a post on 'X', Petrino stated that he intends to move up in the UFC rankings and indicated that he considers Blaydes an ideal opponent for that goal. The fighter from Minas Gerais also suggested that the veteran should give space to the organization's new generation of heavyweights.
“I’m thinking about moving up in the UFC rankings and I think you could be in my place. With all due respect, I think it’s time for you to step aside and let the new generation of heavyweights move forward,” said Vitor Petrino.

The Brazilian also took the opportunity to provoke Blaydes by questioning which of the two would be able to overcome the opponent's defense first.
“Let’s make this happen in December?! I’m sure it will be a great fight for the fans at the end of the year… LET’S SEE WHICH SHIELD WILL BREAK THROUGH FIRST,” concluded the man from Minas Gerais.
