EliteXC still alive

In business in the world of MMA, it seems that there are no truths that last more than 24 hours. Last week, Pro Elite, the company that controlled EliteXC, Cage Rage and Strike Force, declared bankruptcy, keeping only Strike Force active, but according to a report last Sunday, from the American portal MMA Weekly, the company now denies having closed its doors.

It seems that the promoters need time to reformulate and that the recently canceled EliteXC will take place at the beginning of 2009. However, some businesspeople who take care of athletes linked to ProElite do not believe one hundred percent in the latest information.

“I'm just trying to understand, but I believe they are trying to keep the contract with people to sell. Or maybe they're trying to keep the event going. It’s hard to say,” said Monte Cox, manager of the Elite middleweight champion. Robbie Lawler
