With the Ultimate Fighting Championship's 2023 calendar concluding with UFC 296 , it's fair to say the year was positive for Brazil in the octagon. In addition to crowning new champions like Alexandre Pantoja in the flyweight division (up to 56,7 kg) and Alex Poatan in the light heavyweight division (up to 93 kg), the 'Brazilian Squad' finished the season with an advantage in head-to-head matchups against fighters from other countries.
In 156 duels held over the 43 events of the year, Brazilian fighters won 83 opportunities, while losing 70. Furthermore, one duel ended in a draw and two others ended without result.
