With his plans to return to competition in 2023 thwarted, Conor McGregor blamed the UFC for his career hiatus. Out of action for more than two seasons, the Irishman, who underwent a long recovery process to treat a serious injury, publicly criticized the company he has represented since 2013. According to the fighter, the UFC's lack of initiative influences his absence from competitions.
“ Conor McGregor has a lot to offer and deliver. I’m here in Saudi Arabia talking about fighting Manny (Pacquiao) and the UFC isn’t saying anything. Give me something. I was supposed to come back to competition in April 2024, or in December (2023). They’ve never treated anyone like this. I bring a return to the game. I see more fights than all the other athletes combined. Nobody has ever been treated like I’m being treated right now. Think about everything I’ve done. They should roll out the red carpet for me. I’m waiting and waiting. My patience is running out,” McGregor said in an interview with ' TalkSPORT '.
